Nestled on 40 acres in central Maine, Lazy Acres provides us with a sense of peace and solace amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As the land slowly transforms back to that of a working farm, we are greeted daily with opportunity and ways in which the land wants to provide. The goal at Lazy Acres is to strike the best balance between enjoying the land as is, and taking best advantage of all its wonderful bounty.
We utilize sustainable growing methods as much as possible, including rotational grazing, low-till gardening and only use herbicides or pesticides approved for organic production. We believe that the health of the soil is paramount to the long term viability of the land and seek to improve soil health year over year, instead of depleting it.
